SCV Business Marketing Group Raises $500 for the Million Little Foundation!
Tequila Tasting Benefiting the Million Little Foundation: The SCV Business Marketing Group rasied $500 for the Million Little Foundation
Valencia, CA, August 22, 2017: On Tuesday, August 22nd, the SCV Business Marketing Group hosted another fabulous event in Santa Clarita benefitting a local non-profit. This quarter, they hosted a Tequila Tasting at Solita Tacos & Margaritas in Valencia, CA. It was a premiere networking event in which business owners were encouraged to come join for Tequila, Mexican Food, and networking. The SCV Business Marketing Group is a group of business executives in the Santa Clarita Valley who help members develop and achieve goals for personal, business, and professional endeavors by providing quarterly networking socials and events that help each member build their book of business.
The Tequila Tasting event benefitted the Million Little Foundation, which provides opportunities for children, youth, and adults who have been impacted by toxic stress and/or trauma. They are committed to healing and empowering children and families through creativity and mindfulness. Many individuals who are impacted by toxic stress and/or trauma do not seek help of mental health practitioners due to the stigma of therapy, their cultural perspective or spiritual beliefs. The 2016 California Children’s Report Card indicates that California is one of the most diverse states in the US, and with over 1.5 million children who suffer from traumatic events. The Million Little Foundation believes it is essential to think outside of the box when considering how we can all support and bring relief to diverse groups of people who are impacted by adversity in our communities, especially here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Because of this event, the SCV Business Marketing Group were able to raise $500 for the Million Little Foundation. “The event was so much fun! They raffled off high-end Tequila, and I was able to meet so many professionals in the local community! I love the SCV BMG’s events, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” Sean Le Vau, of the Le Vau Group.
November 9th, will mark the year anniversary of this organization, and the SCV Business Marketing Group will be holding another networking social that evening at TPC Valencia, benefitting the JCI Santa’s Helper’s Toy Drive & the Live Your Dream Awards.
